National Wife-Carrying Championship

Until Death Do Us Part

Cedric Benson might have topped the charts this past weekend carrying the pigskin, but Dave Castro, who isn't on your fantasy team, set a record carrying the old ball and chain in Lewiston, Maine. On Saturday, he and wife Lacey won the North American Wife Carrying Contest and qualified for the 15th Annual World Championships next summer in Finland. What's not to love about this competition? We recommend the "Estonian" over the "piggyback" or "fireman's carry." The winner receives the wife's weight in beer and five times her weight in cash. -- Ilana Stone

WAG Wednesday

This weekend is the Red River Shootout in Dallas, when Texas takes on Oklahoma. Besides for an awesome game and possible upset of the Horns, it also means the most insane gathering of Big 12 hotness this side of...well, nothing. They may not be wives or girlfriends, but they're smokin', and they like football. Good enough for us.

Mr. Fantasy

Sell High, Buy Low
If you drafted shrewdly and worked the waiver wire you should have the depth on your roster to consider these moves:

Sell High: Kellen Winslow If you have a solid alternative at TE consider packaging Winslow with someone on your bench for a high-end WR...Steve Smith (Giants) and DeSean Jackson Their value will never be higher and could net you a # 1 RB...Rashard Mendenhall Could be last week you can sell someone on Mendenhall as the full-time feature back.

Hold: Cedric Benson Whatever you get for him won't equal his production...Marshawn Lynch You waited this long, reward your patience and watch him roll up big points...Brandon Marshall With Orton coming on is back to being a top-five WR.

Buy Low: Stephen Jackson Zero TDs has fantasy owners upset, but he is putting up decent stats  that should improve when Bulger comes back...DeAngelo Williams and Steve Smith (Carolina) Delhomme has weathered the storm and these two early round picks will benefit. -- Scotty Walker

Watch This Tonight
World Cup Qualifier: USA vs. Costa Rica, 7:30 PM, ESPN2 The U.S. has already clinched a spot in the 2010 World Cup, but Costa Rica needs to win in order to guarantee a trip to the World Cup for the third straight time.

(5) Boise State at Tulsa, 8:00 PM, ESPN Sadly, Boise (5-0) isn't home on the blue turf, and Tulsa (4-1) is no cupcake--they had the nation's top offense in 2008. Could be the best non-BCS out-of-conference matchup all year.

UFL: Florida Tuskers at Las Vegas Locomotives, 9:00 PM, Versus.
Yesterday's Tailgate told you why you should give the UFL a shot. Tonight's game in Vegas features a handful of NFL vets (former Denver RB Tatum Bell, Bills QB J.P. Losman, Arizona RB Marcel Shipp) and...well...Vegas!

Real World/Road Rules Challenge, 10:00 PM, MTV Unfortunately, Shauvon Torres, who was vying for "#1 hottie" on the show, busted an implant in a rope-swinging challenge last week (seriously!), but there is still plenty of eye candy--like KellyAnne Judd and Johanna Botta.
